Isolated distal esophageal atresia in neonates: a case report and review of the literature

Abstract Esophageal atresia occurs in 1 out of 2500 to 4500 live births; an isolated variant 8% the cases. In this case report and literature review, we present a rare distal esophageal happening just 2 cm above diaphragmatic right leaflet with connecting band between two parts. The location raised possibility direct vascular accident that segment as cause atresia. Post-operative ambu bagging may facilitate leak at anastomosis site should be done carefully, well as, introduce contrast suckling not jet injection for same reason. We mentioned raise wariness mishap problems.
